Winter White Barn - Temecula Wedding Venue

Winter White Barn has lots of spaces on the property that make for sweet photo opportunities. This "I Adore You" sign next to the reception pavilion is a favorite!

As a Temecula wedding photographer, I love the opportunity to get to better know venues and venue owners! I partnered with some of my favorite Temecula wedding vendors to photograph a colorful micro wedding at Winter White Barn last year. I was so impressed with the unique look of the property and beautiful flow of the different event areas. I reached out to the owner, Kelly, to get more insight on how she found and designed this one-of-a-kind barn venue!

Interview with the Venue Owner, Kelly

“For three full years, I looked for this property. I found a lot of beauty, a lot of potential, a lot of wonderful, but nothing was quite perfect until I stumbled upon this lovely piece of heaven.

I didn't have to look hard for inspiration at Winter White Barn. We are surrounded by boulder-covered hills, ancient oaks, and full-grown palm trees. Tucked in amongst it all was just the most charming little barn I had ever seen. My heart just melted for this place and I was so excited to share it with you all.

When it came to design, I took many cues from mother nature, but also put to use my background in design, coordinating, hospitality and photography.

Color inspires me so it surprised many people when I painted the barn white. To me, it was the grandest design move I could make. I wanted to create a space that would be beautiful on its own, but easily transform with every couple's style and color scheme.

We added large windows into the barn to bring in the natural light, and keep within the garden wedding feel. You can see the oaks and river willows through every window. I get the chills every time I walk into the barn. That’s the truth and I love it!

The rest of the property design was all about flow, photos, and inclement weather back-up plans. Using what nature provided, we carved out paths, photo ops, relaxation, and meditation spots. I tried to be very intentional with the space, while giving a nod here and there to the wine country, and to the equestrian center that was here for many years before us.

What I hope people feel when they come to the Winter White Barn is love. The love we put into developing the space. The love that begins fresh with every new I do. The love that came before us, and the love that is still to come. We feel so blessed by the immediate kindness of our neighbors, family, friends, couples and vendors. We appreciate you all and wish you all the luck and love that the world has to offer!”

On-Site Coordinator

There will be a coordinator on-site at your Winter White Barn wedding. Kelly and her team will also be available to help with event planning and setting up of on-site furniture prior to your wedding.

Ceremony Circle Space

Winter White Barn has an outdoor ceremony space called Ceremony Circle. The space features wooden pews, doors to reveal a grand entrance, and a rectangle or geometric arch. The space faces a grove of trees and depending on your ceremony time, means the light will filter in beautifully through your ceremony.

The Ceremony Circle at Winter White Barn backs up to mature wood trees and a white picket fence. Your guests will face you in vintage wooden pews and you'll have a choice of a rectangular or geometric arch.

Covered Pavilion for Your Reception

Winter White Barn has a covered pavilion space for your reception with string lights, chandeliers, and a mix of farmhouse and round dining tables. This is where you’ll have your grand entrance, first dance, and eat dinner with your wedding guests.

The Barn

The iconic white barn can be used for cocktail hour and open dancing later in the evening! The barn is air-conditioned and comes with pub tables, chairs, and a bar that can be utilized by your bartender.

Included in Your Wedding Day

Winter White Barn has only one wedding per week so they can focus on the needs of each couple! In addition to the individual attention you’ll receive, Winter White Barn also includes:

Pre-ceremony area, furnished with wine barrels and umbrellas
Pavilion dining includes tables, chairs, linens and charger plates
Cocktail hour on the lawn and barn includes games, pub tables, and lawn furniture
Dancing in the barn, furnished with lights, cocktail tables, lounge, pub table, cake cutting table, and decor

Winter White Barn includes a bar set-up that can be stocked and utilized by a licensed bartender.

Bathrooms

There are four on-site bathrooms at Winter White Barn. These can be accessed via a concrete walkway and are handicap accessible.

Parking

Parking is plentiful at Winter White Barn with a dedicated parking lot with spaces for 75 cars. Guests will walk across a footbridge to access the venue.

Dressing Rooms

The Barn has two dressing rooms that feature natural window light, mirrors, and vintage furniture to enhance your getting-ready experience and photos.

Bring in Your Own Vendor Team

Winter White Barn is unique to the Temecula area in that you can bring in your own vendor team! This offers you a fantastic opportunity to customize your day and also save money in areas like bartending and catering. Winter White Barn requires you to hire a day-of-coordinator to assist in coordinating your vendors and that every member of your team provides the venue with their license and business insurance policies.

How to Get Married in Temecula

Phone Signal

Phone signal can be spotty in Temecula. If you or your guests are looking to take an Uber or Lyft back to your hotel, I’d recommend booking your ride in advance.

There are a lot of photography opportunities on the grounds of Winter White Barn! This spot is right next to the Barn and the way the light filtered in through the trees really made this bride and groom pop!
