In times of uncertainty, like we’re dealing with now, there’s always a silver lining. And that silver lining seems to be that love isn’t canceled! In the past few months, couples have had to change their wedding plans in a variety of ways, and one of those ways is choosing to elope instead of have a big wedding. Today’s elopements often include your closest friends and family; the elopements I’ve photographed recently have anywhere from 15-30 guests. The up side (besides the fact that many couples don’t want to delay getting married!) is getting to spend quality time on your wedding day with your closest friends and family.
As an Orange County elopement photographer, I’ve been fortunate to photograph many weddings at the gorgeous Chapel of Orange, which is a perfect setting for these intimate events. The immaculate manicured grounds have so many options for amazing photos; as a photographer I love the fact that everything is in one location!

Lizbeth started her day getting ready with her mom and maid of honor in the gorgeous Chapel of Orange suite.
Their ceremony inside the Chapel was gorgeous – I love the Chapel because it’s one of the only venues in Orange County that has a old-world church feel. Cheryl (the awesome owner at the Chapel of Orange) took a lot of care when restoring the Chapel to retain its historic integrity.
Afterwards we took portraits of Timothy + Lizbeth in the courtyard, as well as family photos! We also got a full family photos of all the guests, which is pretty cool! It’s not something you can typically do at a traditional large wedding, so it was awesome to capture the whole group!
