Fun fact! On your wedding day, there's only a handful of times you actually get to have a conversation with your spouse - and one of those times is during your first dance!
Yes, you'll be spending A LOT of your day together, but until the reception "opens", you'll be quite busy and have all your friends and family clamoring around you to congratulate you and get a moment of your time.
That's (partly) why I encourage couples to play the full version of their song during the first dance - there's no need to rush your first official dance as newlyweds!
Secondly, of course, it allows me as a wedding photographer the opportunity to capture more of the moments that happen during this time.
